‘My Story’ Artist in Residence
Hoddesdon & Cheshunt Libraries
Generously funded by Hertfordshire Libraries & Arts Council
From me…
I'm Casey Joy, an artist who creates from the heart, blending intuition, spontaneity, and a deep connection to the world around me. The everyday rhythms of life inspire my work—whether it’s nature, music, or just the experiences we all go through.
I’m passionate about using sustainable materials and love bringing people together through art, whether it’s through exhibitions, workshops, or just creating something meaningful. I aim to inspire others to tap into their creativity and find that sense of connection and belonging through art.
About the Residency…
This art residency was all about Home, a concept that resonates deeply with me, especially in Hoddesdon, where I spent much of my youth. Returning here, I was excited to share the peace, freedom, and joy that creativity has brought into my life.
Through my workshops and community projects, I aimed to help others tap into their creativity, helping them connect with who they truly are and bringing out their confidence and sense of self. For me, art is a journey of healing, reflection, and finding harmony within ourselves and with each other, and NOT just about the finished piece.
Home IS where the heart is, and through this residency, I’m thrilled to contribute to Hoddesdon’s vibrant artistic community, helping others discover their own creative home.
